How to Report a User
on HanaCall

Reporting inappropriate behavior takes a few seconds and helps keep HanaCall safe for everyone. Here is what you can report, how to do it, and what happens next.

Meeting new people over live video chat should feel fun, not stressful. Almost every conversation on HanaCall is friendly, but if someone crosses a line you are never stuck with it. You can report a user in a few taps, and you can block them at the same time so they can never reach you again.

This page explains what kinds of behavior to report, how to report inappropriate behavior during or after a chat, and what our moderation team does once a report comes in. If you want the full picture of the tools available to you, the Safety Center covers leaving, blocking, and protecting your privacy too.

How to Report a User During or After a Chat

  1. 1
Open the profile or active chatTap the menu on the person’s profile card or inside your video or text conversation.
  2. 2
Choose ReportSelect Report, then pick the reason that best matches what happened.
  3. 3
Add details and evidenceA short description helps our team review faster. You can attach up to three screenshots as evidence.
  4. 4
Block if you want toBlocking is one tap and takes effect immediately, so you never have to see that person again.

You do not have to choose between staying safe and being polite. If a conversation feels wrong, leave the chat first — you never owe a stranger an explanation — then report from their profile when you are ready.

Blocking vs Reporting

Blocking stops a user from contacting you again and works instantly. Reporting tells our team what happened so we can review and act. They are separate tools, and using both is a good habit: block to protect yourself right now, report so the same person cannot do it to someone else.

What Happens After You Report

Every report is confidential and reviewed by our moderation team. Based on the evidence, an account may get a warning, a temporary restriction, or a permanent ban, and serious reports are handled first. Our Community Guidelines explain the rules everyone agrees to.

Reporting on HanaCall — FAQ

How do I report a user on HanaCall?

Open the person’s profile or your active chat, tap the menu, choose Report, select a reason, and add a short description with optional screenshots. You can block the same user in one tap so they can no longer reach you.

What is the difference between blocking and reporting?

Blocking stops that user from contacting you again and takes effect immediately. Reporting sends the details to our moderation team so we can review the behavior and act on it. You can do both — many people block first, then report.

Will the other person know I reported them?

No. Reports are confidential. The person you report is not told who filed the report or what you wrote.

What happens after I submit a report?

Our team reviews the report and the evidence you provided. Depending on what we find, the account may receive a warning, a temporary restriction, or a permanent ban. Serious cases are prioritized.

Can I report someone after the chat has ended?

Yes. You can report from the person’s profile after a conversation ends. Adding screenshots helps us review a chat that is no longer open.

Need to report something now?

Reporting is confidential and takes only a few seconds. Our support team is here 24/7 if you need help.
